“Family special menu” is not an official Chicken Salad Chick category — it is what people search for when they want to feed a group and cannot work out which format to buy. This page compares every group option side by side, because the differences are larger than the menu board suggests.

The pattern nobody spells out
Per-person cost falls sharply the moment you cross into catering formats. Feeding four costs you $8–$12.50 a head. Feeding twelve costs you $3.83–$6 a head on a platter. The awkward zone is five to nine people, where you are too many for a Family Meal and too few to justify a platter — there, two large Quick Chicks plus bread and two large sides is usually the best answer.
Feeding four or fewer
Two realistic choices. The Family Meal at around $49.99 handles it in one transaction with cookies included. A large Quick Chick (~$14.99, about 16 oz) with a loaf of bread and a large side comes to roughly $33 and feeds the same people. The second is cheaper; the first is easier.
Feeding five to nine — the awkward middle
No menu format is designed for this range, which is why it is the hardest to order for. What works:
- Two large Quick Chicks (~$30) in two different flavors
- Bread loaves (~$7.89 each, one or two)
- Two large fresh sides (~$20–$24)
- A gallon of tea (~$9.99)
That lands around $70–$75 for eight to nine people — roughly $8.50 a head, with no advance notice needed. It also beats ordering nine individual meals by about $20.
Feeding ten or more
Move to catering. A Mini Croissant Sandwich Platter at $45.99 serves 10–12, which is under $4 a head. Add a $24.99 side and a $9.99 gallon of tea and you have fed twelve people properly for about $81. The equivalent Group Luncheon package is $109.99 — the same food, roughly $29 more, for the convenience of one line item.
If children are in the group
Do not forget the Little Chicks menu at around $6.05 including a side, a drink and a cookie. For a family of four with two children, two adult meals plus two Little Chicks comes to about $32.68 — cheaper than the Family Meal and everyone gets what they want.
Watch the allergens when ordering for a group
Three flavors contain tree nuts, and broccoli salad contains bacon despite looking vegetarian. If you are ordering for people whose preferences you do not know, default to Classic Carol and Sassy Scotty and check the allergen guide first.
Questions about this item
Does Chicken Salad Chick have a family special menu?
Not under that name. There is a Family Meal at around $49.99 that feeds about four, and a full catering menu for ten or more. Between those two sits a gap that the menu does not address — which this page covers.
What is the cheapest way to feed a family at Chicken Salad Chick?
A large Quick Chick (~$14.99), a loaf of bread (~$7.89) and a large side (~$9.99–$11.99) — roughly $33 for four people, or about $8.25 a head. That is around $17 cheaper than the Family Meal for the same amount of food.
How do I feed six or seven people?
Two large Quick Chicks in different flavors, one or two bread loaves, two large sides and a gallon of tea — roughly $70–$75 total, no advance notice needed. This range falls between the Family Meal and catering platters, so building it yourself is the only sensible option.
Do kids meals count towards a family order?
They are ordered separately, and for families with young children they are usually the cheaper route. Two adult meals plus two Little Chicks meals comes to about $32.68 — less than the $49.99 Family Meal.
